We made it to the beach!
We woke the kids up at the crack of dawn in hopes that they would sleep until we got to the beach -- no such luck. Hannah was clamoring for her DS car charger within 30 seconds of buckling her seatbelt. What doesn't bode well for the upcoming trek to Texas is that Olivia was whining about being bored 20 minutes into the 3 hour ride -- I can't wait for the 20+ hour drive across 7 states and 2 time zones! In any case, I digress ... We are extremely lucky to have some very generous friends who offered to let us use their beach house in Ocean City, New Jersey, and anyone who knows us knows that if you invite us, we will come!

When the sunshine came out we decided to go to the boardwalk ostensibly to get some dinner, but really we just went to ruin the kids' lives by saying "no" to all the junk they wanted to buy. Eventually, we did get dinner!
