Sing, Choirs of Angels!

Four concerts in five days -- please tell me that is some kind of record.  The week began at our church for its annual Christmas concert where Olivia sang in the cherub choir and Hannah played the handbells.
Next was the Middle School concert where Hannah sang in the choir and played violin in the orchestra and clarinet in the band.

Then it was off to the Elementary school holiday show to listen to Olivia & Ethan sing with their 2nd and 4th grade classes.

Sadly, Ethan lost recess over his "exuberance" during the concert
My week of  musical extravaganzas ended today at my very last Preschool Christmas concert where Charlie looked adorable in his antlers and sang his little heart out.

Yep, four days of fighting to get my kids dressed in "handsome" clothes.  Four days of making sure the appropriate instrument/hat/prop/music was at school.  Four days of trying to find a parking space in an already full lot.  Four days of rushing to get to the concert early so I could find a seat.  Four days of trying to save seats for the rest of my family who arrived at a more appropriate time.  Four days of sitting in an uncomfortable seat for over an hour simply waiting for a concert to begin.  Four days of finally seeing my son/daughter on stage only to be blocked by a 6'4" linebacker with a video camera.  Four days of squeaky violins, out of tune carols, forgotten words, and crying.  Four days that I will treasure forever!

Now, bring me some figgy pudding!!

  1. At least Ethan was happy, right? You really did have a busy week. Whenever I think that I'm busy, I'll just compare myself to you to make me feel better. m.

And yes, you have been very busy!

Sorry that Ethan lost his recess... he sure seemed to be enjoying himself! And I enjoyed seeing him so into it!
