Home again, home again, lickety split

Between Saturday morning at 11am when I last posted, and Sunday afternoon at 4pm when we left Ocean City, we managed to cram in every single "must-do" beach activity:

We had warm made-to-order donuts at the Fractured Prune,

we strolled along the boardwalk and bought salt water taffy,

we took silly pictures,

we had a fabulous seafood dinner,
we played mini-golf,

we had midnight snacks in our hotel room (well, 8:30pm snacks!!),
we slept like babies,

we walked along the beach and watched the sunrise,

we stuck our toes in the sand,
and braved the cold ocean water,

 we enjoyed our beachfront suite,
 we rented a surrey,

 we bought caramel popcorn,
 and Thrasher's french fries,
and we vowed to make this an annual trip ...

Life's A Beach

Two days, Four girls and more stuff than I took on our Texas Trek last summer with my family of six!  My sister and I took my mother and Hannah to Ocean City, MD to celebrate their ??th and 12th birthdays!  The last time we were all at the beach together was 2002 -- Mom has been packing for this trip ever since!
So, because we were afraid we might not have enough to eat at the hotel, we stopped at a restaurant along the way for sustenance.  Then we got to our hotel and unloaded ...
I'll say it again ... 2 days!

so much food, so little time!

After lunch and snacks, we did take time to relax ...

and to walk along the boardwalk for a little while ...

before it was time for food again,
and some games before bed (along with twizzlers)!!
The night ended with an amazingly bright moon that was directly outside our window, as if God Himself picked out our balcony of all the balconies along the beach and shone it just for us.
Of course the next morning began with, what else ... food,
followed by some leisure time on the balcony
and in the hot tub and pool.

This was our first attempt at the self-timer!
2nd attempt involved another guest using my camera!!!

It is now barely 10:30am and we are off for some more adventures ... I am sure there will be food involved, but, more than that, there will be some wonderful multi-generational bonding!  We are already having a great time (while Joy is back at home chaperoning a double sleepover -- paybacks are going to be hell!!), and I can't wait to see what the rest of the weekend will bring ...
